Elk

This Elk and his buddies were just walking along the road. They are huge and their antlers are very impressive.

They lose their antlers each fall and then they grow back in the spring.

This fellow had some kind of strand of weed hanging on his antler over his face. Don't know if you can really see it. Click to enlarge the pictures.

You can see the velvet still on their antlers. They will begin rubbing it off soon. Look at him eating dandelions!
