Crawford State Park lies at an elevation of 6,600 feet on the western side of Colorado's western slope. The regions mild spring, summer and fall temperatures make it perfect for growing fruit and vegetables. This region also gets more moisture, as the clouds pile up against the West Elk Mountains, than the Grand Valley to the west, which makes it good for agricultural pursuits.
The sunset was again spectacular.
The pink in this picture was the reflection of the sunset on the opposite side of the sky. It is just amazing what the sun reflects on when it is setting! Our camper was facing this mountain with the sun behind us.
